Are you an avid golfer? If so, our golf fitness program will help take your game to the next level.
Our 6 or 12 week offseason programs typically run in the Winter and early Spring months. You will first start with a physical assessment by Ryan Stewart, our Level 3 TPI certified health professional. You will then undergo a 16 test movement screen, which looks at your strength and mobility and more specifically how it relates to the golf swing. Lastly, you will undergo a 3 point powerscreen, which looks at your power sources for the golf swing and where you still have room for improvement to hit the ball further.
Following the screen, you will begin training in our state of the art training facility. Under the supervision of one of our highly trained personal trainers and with the direction of our TPI certified physiotherapist, you will attend 1 hour sessions, 3 times per week. These sessions will focus on improving your mobility, strength and power with the ultimate goal of hitting the ball further.
What is TPI?
TPI(Titleist Performance Institute) is the leading organization in golf-specific health, fitness, and swing advice. Certified TPI instructors are able to help golfers overcome any limiting factors they may have by improving their technique. There are over 19,000 TPI professionals across 63 countries, trained in helping golfers of all skill levels improve their game.
Throughout TPI history, thousands of golfers have received helpful tips for improvement. Through years of research and data collection, TPI has discovered how an optimally functioning body allows a player to swing a golf club in the most efficient way possible. TPI has also been able to determine how physical limitations affect golf swings, and accommodations such players can make to enhance their performance and decrease their risk of injury.
If you are searching for the most effective ways to increase your golfing skills, consult with one of our TPI specialists at Strive Fitness and Therapy today. The mission of TPI is to help educate golfers and professionals in the industry on the Body-Swing Connection,, which identifies the body’s physical limitations and how they directly correlate to their golf swing. This is achieved through a series of functional tests aimed at evaluating strength, flexibility, and mobility. Based on the results of such tests, our TPI specialists will recommend ways the golfer can maximize their physical advantages.
