David King
(Physiotherapy
Exam Candidate)
David earned his Bachelor of Kinesiology in Athletic Therapy from the University of Manitoba in 2023 and went on to complete his Master of Physical Therapy in 2025. With his Athletic Therapy background, he brings a strong foundation in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and return to sport or work care. He also gained two years of experience with the University of Manitoba Bisons football team, where he strengthened his skills in high-performance sport and injury management. These experiences continue to shape his physiotherapy practice today, allowing him to apply the same principles of performance, recovery, and individualized care to the patients he works with in the clinic.
David is passionate about helping people return to the activities they love most through collaborative and individualized treatment plans. His practice is rooted in three pillars: exercise-based rehabilitation, hands-on manual therapy, and patient education. By combining these approaches, he addresses the root cause of pain and dysfunction while empowering patients to take an active role in their recovery and long-term health.
David’s journey into physiotherapy stems from his own background as a competitive athlete. Growing up, sports such as basketball and badminton were central to his life, and like many athletes, he faced his share of injuries. Through physiotherapy, he experienced firsthand the value of rehab in restoring both physical function and confidence. That experience inspired him to pursue a career where he could combine his love for movement with his commitment to helping others overcome challenges and return to the activities that matter most to them, whether in sport, work, or daily life.
Outside of the clinic, David enjoys weight training, basketball, and golf, as well as spending time at the lake with friends and family.
